As the name implies, it is a convertible model of a roofless car when the top is folded down and a coupe when the top is put up. It accommodates the driver and 2 passengers in the front seat and 3 in the rear seat (storage type: rumble seat). When the top is folded down, it is neatly stored inside the body. This style is attractive and this model is said to be the best among all other Ford models. This model was the first to adapt the steel disc wheels to replace the conventional spoke wheel

Gloster Gladiator Airplane Papercraft + F5D Skylancer & F11F Tiger

An amazing collection of Gloster Gladiator airplane papercraft from Deutsch graphic designer Christoph Stahl.

The Gloster Gladiator is a British-made biplane fighter aircraft used by the Royal Air Force during the World Wars of the early 1900s. Its popularity at that time made it a favorite by other nation's air forces.

Over 15 models of the Gloster Gladiator are available on his site (Stahlhart Papercraft), a few of the aircrafts have been removed due to post-war German law codes which prohibit the display of a swastika in any form or fashion - I guess if you want a copy, you can send a request to the designer.

Also available is the Grumman F11F Tiger papercraft and a Douglas F5D Skylancer papercraft - two US Navy supersonic jet aircrafts.

Aegis Atago class Destroyer Papercraft

We've got a new Japanese designer named masayu-i who has brought to our attention his miniature navy destroyer ship.



It's an Atago class destroyer papercraft based on the real guided missile destroyer used by the Japan Maritime Self-Defense Force (Japanese Navy). The word Aegis is not part of its name/class title, it's a misnomer to call it an "Aegis destroyer"

Aegis refers to a highly advance weapons system integrated into ships to protect it against missile and air attacks. Besides Japan and US, four other countries (Spain, Norway, Australia, and South Korea) also use this system in their Navy. The Embraer Lineage 1000 is actually a variation of the popular Embraer 190 and is now more focused on being a business jet. Instead of the Embraer 190's 100+ capacity seating, the Lineage 1000 has modified insides to luxuriously accomodate 19 people - that includes bedrooms and washroom with running water. Fuel tanks have also been added to double its range.

This 32 Ford Coupe papercraft is a complete overhaul of Ron Kemp's original model, nicely detailed vector work plus some new colored parts so you can customize. The last time we visited their site the only paper model was the Toyota IQ, now there's six new cars: Toyota Vellfire, Toyota VOXY, Toyota ist, Toyota Auris, Toyota bB, and the Toyota Vitz. Sorry if the pics are a bit small, that's all I could find.

The Toyota Vellfire is a luxury minivan / multi-purpose vehicle (MPV) that features Toyota's first-ever rear wipers that fold away into the roof spoiler for a clean look. Primarily made for the Japanese market, it is now being made available to certain parts of Asia.



This is the Toyota Voxy, an eight-seater minivan sold only in the Asian market, it's also known as the Toyota Noah.



Next one is the Toyota ist, you might remember it from a few days ago, we featured a similar version from a different designer. The Toyota ist is a subcompact car known here in the US as the Scion xA.



The Toyota Auris is compact 3-5 door hatchback primarily sold in the European market. It is also available in Australia and New Zealand under the Toyota Corolla nameplate.



The Toyota bB is a subcompact / mini MPV based on the Toyota Vitz, it is popularly known here in the US as the Scion xB.



And finally the Toyota Vitz, a subcompact / supermini car known here in the US as the Toyota Yaris.

Forbidden City Papercraft

The Forbidden City is a walled section of central Beijing, China, which encloses the palace of 24 emperors in the Ming and Qing dynasties. Formerly closed to the public (hence its name), it is now a vast museum and a major tourist attraction.


The Forbidden City is the world's largest surviving palace complex, covering 72 hectares with 980 buildings. As you can see from the pics, this Forbidden City papercraft obviously doesn't cover the whole city - instead, it only covers one building, "The Hall of Supreme Harmony".


The Hall of Supreme Harmony is the largest wooden hall structure within the Forbidden City and is right smack on its center. The building itself is built on top of three levels of marble stone base. Being the center of the city, this hall was used by the emperors for their weddings and enthronements.

Osaka Castle Papercraft

Built during the late 1500s, Osaka Castle (aka Osakajo) is one of Japan's most famous castles.


The castle sits on a 15 acre land in Osaka Prefecture, Japan. It's built on top of tall stone foundation and surrounded by moats. Osaka Castle has seen so much wars and has been damaged/destroyed so many times that much of the original castle has long been replaced.

Today, Osaka Castle is one of the most visited tourist spots in Japan and is very much open to the public. The entire castle grounds is now called Osaka Castle Park, its lawn garden has over 600 cherry trees on it. It is the most popular hanami spot during the cherry blossom season, which usually takes place in early April.

There's a misconception about the Taj Mahal in popular culture, many think that its a palace, probably because there is another iconic structure in India called the "Taj Mahal Palace", but that one is a luxury hotel - the real Taj Mahal is a mausoleum (building housing a tomb).

The Taj is the most beautiful monument built by the Mughals - the Muslim rulers of India. It was built by Emperor Shah Jahan in the memory of his dear wife and queen Mumtaz Mahal. Sultan Ahmet Mosque (aka Blue Mosque) is considered as the national mosque of Turkey, one of the world's most beautiful Islamic mosques, and one of the most popular tourist attractions in Istanbul.


The Sultan Ahmet Mosque is located in the region of Marmara, Istanbul, Turkey. It was built during the early 1600s under the rule of Ahmed I and also one of several mosques that are called "Blue Mosque" - their interior walls are decorated with blue and white Iznik ceramic tiles. It is also the only mosque in the world that has 6 minarets - those would be the pointy towers you see on the pic.
