Gloster Gladiator Airplane Papercraft + F5D Skylancer & F11F Tiger

Gloster Gladiator PapercraftAn amazing collection of Gloster Gladiator airplane papercraft from Deutsch graphic designer Christoph Stahl.

The Gloster Gladiator is a British-made biplane fighter aircraft used by the Royal Air Force during the World Wars of the early 1900s. Its popularity at that time made it a favorite by other nation's air forces.

Over 15 models of the Gloster Gladiator are available on his site (Stahlhart Papercraft), a few of the aircrafts have been removed due to post-war German law codes which prohibit the display of a swastika in any form or fashion - I guess if you want a copy, you can send a request to the designer.

Also available is the Grumman F11F Tiger papercraft and a Douglas F5D Skylancer papercraft - two US Navy supersonic jet aircrafts.

Flight Data Recorder Papercraft

Flight Data Recorder PapercraftFlight Data Recorder (FDR), is a crashworthy device that records data about an aircraft's actual flight condition (airspeed, heading, altitude, pitch, etc..), it helps aviation experts and investigators determine the cause of a plane crash.

The Flight Data Recorder is encased in heavy steel and covered by multiple layers of insulation to provide protection against blunt force, fire, and extreme climatic conditions. It is popularly called a "black box" although the Flight Data Recorder is actually painted a bright orange or red so that in an event of a crash it would be easier to locate. The reason for the "black box" term is because when they recover it, it's all covered up with black soot.

Air Force One Papercraft

Air Force One Airplane Papercraft Not really the best paper replica of Air Force One, but it is acceptable. National Geographic offers this Air Force One papercraft to coincide with their new series called "On Board Air Force One", a look into the inner and outer workings of the US President's private fortress in the sky. With a name like National Geographic I would think they could have done more research and hired somebody good at making airplane papercrafts (e.g. Claudio Dias/Paper Inside).
